Our mission is to work with local shelters and other rescue organizations to provide a final home for harder to place senior dogs and horses. Our philosophy involves staying local. We believe there is enough need here in our own back yard, so that is where we focus our resources. Older dogs, many of them with medical issues, struggle in shelters, and they are not the ones going home with new families. Same with horses. We are here to provide a month, a couple weeks, a few years, to those who just need a loving place to spend their final time. We are not concerned with quantity of time, but quality. They will live in our house and be a part of our family.
Why Hoagies House you may ask? Hoagie was my (Tracey’s) yellow lab. I had this incredible boy in my life for 16 years, much of it up here on our property. Some of you remember him. We said goodbye 3 years ago and I miss him every day. I can’t think of a better way to remember him that to help other old guys in his name.
